Trying to learn pixel art! Need some help with the RPGMakerMZ art type.

New to Learning Pixel Art, I want to make a platformer someday with survival aspects thrown in. This is my first tile. Is there anything I could be doing better? I like it, but something about the dirt seems off to me; I can't quite figure it out. (Pictures broken in first post)

A while back I posted about making a challenge using spinners. I now realize why it's never been done. That is a HUGE undertaking. So, how do I go about starting with something smaller?
