Felt like sharing a cute incident that happened recently

I visited the house of one of my childhood friends last week. He and his mum had invited me for dinner, they stay really close to my colony, plus my family knows his family really well, so I was allowed to visit his house at night. While uncle and aunty were busy preparing the dinner, my friend took me to his room upstairs to show off a few video games on his PC, and the collection of books he'd purchased from the recent book fairs in the city. We were meeting after almost a year so naturally both of us were engaged in a really enthusiastic conversation about our respective lives. In the midst of our chaotic discussions, I noticed his smartphone wallpaper and it piqued my interest. It was actually a childhood pic that we'd clicked during our odisha trip on the beaches of Puri, back in 2007-08 when we were just toddlers!! I legit snatched his smartphone from his grasp to see the faded pic on the screen, and it made me feel so nostalgic. I couldn't control my giggles when I saw the goofy picture lmao, and he was standing in one corner of the house in an embarrassed fashion. Later I asked him ifhe had more childhood pics or not and he revealed a few folders in his PC where he'd safely stored the age old memories. There were about 200 pics and each one brought with it a longing of the past treasures. Just felt like sharing this small incident, I know it's pretty insignificant but it just made me think how nostalgia is such a bittersweet emotion.
