Genuine question: Why do neurotypicals almost always talk around the word “Disabled?”
(Tagged for spoilers bc of slight ableism)
I’ve noticed as of late that when someone who is neurotypical/not disabled and talking about autism, ADHD, etc. they almost always fluff it up with something like “Differently abled” or ”Specially abled“. But whenever someone with a disability talks about it, they just outright call it a disability. Why do people do this? Do they think it’s offensive?/srs
