The Royal Games, known publicly by Aureatia as the Sixways Exhibition sets the stage for each of the shura to show off the fullest of their abilities in one-on-one True Duels. Each of these hero candidates are sponsored by one of the Twenty-Nine Officials, who govern Aureatia for the sole remaining Queen.
Alus the Star Runner is a wyvern rogue, bearing a unique mutation that had bestowed them three upper limbs. He is known far and wide as the greatest adventurer of the land, holding countless magical items from his high-speed expeditions.
Soujirou the Willow-Sword is a visitor brought from the Beyond because of their deviancy. A minia without the ability of word arts, he is a blade that contains the instincts of a butcher, able to cut through even the smallest of openings.
& 5. Kuze the Passing Disaster is a minia designated Paladin by the Order, by tradition, wielding only a shield to protect rather than to fight. His partner Nastique the Quiet Singer is an angelic assassin whose will over death is absolute, killing any who attempt to harm Kuze within their incorporeal presence- regardless of Kuze's wishes.
Nihilo the Vortical Stampede is a revenant, who mounts the construct Helneten the Burial. The cataphract is bound with their steed, acting as the life-core of the tarantula revenant via a shared curse.
Higuare the Pelagic is a mandrake, sold to slavery to become the strongest of gladiators. He is said to control an assortment of near forty-two branches, each wielding their own armaments. A member of the beastfolk, he is able to fully draw out the talents of his species, especially with their potent nerve toxin.
Regnejee the Wings of Sunset is a wyvern Commander, the sole leader of the only air force within the skies. His Thermal Arts brings destructive heat through a concentrated area with a destructive power. All members of his swarm swear the utmost obedience to their leader, whose tactical abilities eclipse all others in the skies.
Dakai the Magpie is a visitor bandit, brought from the Beyond because of his deviancy. The ultimate thief, he pillages and defiles, stealing anything and everything within his reach. From his lock-picking abilities to his skills within espionage, his aberrant observational skills see the utmost abilities to steal his victory.
Shalk the Sound Slicer is a skeleton mercenary, seeking to discover who he was before he had become a construct. His speed as a spearhead is truly incredible, able to cut through the speed of sound. Though he might be a bit humerus, he makes sure always to complete his bone-breaking work.

Mestelexil the Box of Desperate Knowledge is a Golem and Homunculus, an Architect and Creator able to construct the means of immortality. When the golem Mestel is slain, the homunculus Exil will reconstruct Mestel. When the homunculus Exil is slain, the golem Mestel will recreate Exil. Anywhere and everywhere their voices shall reach, unable to be killed at the same time by a two-way shared curse. The homunculus will always retain the knowledge of their base component, so Exil, created using a Visitor as a base, has received the knowledge of the Beyond. Through their sublime Craft Arts, Mestelexil can construct the technology of the Beyond into this world.
