do npcs ever acknowledge how much time has passed?

i’m fairly new and have not played beyond year 3 because for some reason i keep having the urge to start over. i also haven’t looked up much other than harvey’s likes to marry him asap, so i have very little idea what im doing and im moving pretty slow through the game LOL.

my question is, do npcs acknowledge time passing in the game? do npcs ever mention how long you’ve been on the farm, etc? does anyone age?
