Tbh,so many of these concepts and ideas and even lore in JJK are interesting and could be more interesting if they were properly fleshed out and explored but that's the issue..that's all they are, ideas.

What good is a idea or concept if that's all it remains?a idea and concept.

Ideas and concepts are things that should be explored, fleshed out,you can't just introduce a idea or a concept of even a character, show them a couple times and then barely do or don't do anything with them, (which he does with quite a lot of his cast).

And I'd even argue shit like the Eras and Clans are things that could've been genuinely interesting and unique to explore cause there was hype and interest in those 3 Eras and even the clans were shown to have a impact in S1 but why even introduce or bring up certain clans if you're not gonna show them or explore them? (It's like the Clans and Eras dipped in relevancy minus the Zenin Clan and they only really existed to get sliced up).

And JJK'S characters are pretty much what show the good and the bad parts of his writing. He's genuinely good at introducing all these characters and is able to make you curious and invested in them(Ryu,Uro,Kashimo,Hakari,Yuki, etc)but it's like once they're done with whatever Gimmick or fight they have,Gege puts them back in their box until he wants to play with them and in such, certain characters will just disappear and only come back when Gege needs them.

I am fully convinced Gege forgot about Todo and Nobara until someone on his staff reminded him.

I'd even argue Sukuna fits that example a bit since his Era,past and more are all things that were hinted for him and he could've been a more explored and fleshed out character had Gege just stopped with the fights and the insane speedy pacing and we saw his backstory and his accomplishments. Show, don't tell.

Don't tell us his past and who and what he is,show us.

Yujo is also another one of those "good concept,fumbled/bad execution" since the actual moment with Yuta talking to his friends about it is a good moment but the delivery spectacularly got fumbled in the end.

Same with Megumi's entire character, same with Tsumiki.

Same with Yuki's character and even Yuji,to a Extent.

Jujutsu Kaisen is one of those series that, unfortunately, can't and couldn't reach their full potential and I don't know if it was cause Gege just flat out didn't want to or if he just didn't expect his manga to go on after Shibuya of Maybe he wanted to but Shonen Jump said No.

Or maybe Gege just flat out got bored and disinterested somewhat in the story.

This series has good ideas but unfortunately..that's all that will remain. Ideas and concepts.
