Unlimited Free Internet for Uber & the Firsty App (?)

Just went on the Firsty web site and saw that for the free account, the new marketing unlimited free internet is for (both) Uber AND the Firsty App. Anyone know if this is a new thing--maybe to allow the app to download ads when there is no Wi-Fi? Is it working as marketed (since I've seen posts that says without Wi-Fi or separate data, ads won't load)?
