Where to put the door knob

The design of this door with the letter plate seems to not allow for a center knob. Or can one be placed above the letter plate?

We decided to go with the escutcheon lock without finger pull because of a smart lock I’m planning to install on the internal side. If the center knob won’t work, is it possible to install a standalone finger pull above the escutcheon? Or any other suggestions?
